Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Bids & Bidding Process

  • Are submitted bids binding? Yes. Every bid placed is legally binding. Once a bid is accepted and the auction is awarded, a legally valid purchase agreement is concluded, obligating the buyer to accept and pay for the goods.
  • What happens if a bid is placed at the last second (auction extension)? If a bid is placed within the final [e.g., 1 minute] before the auction ends, the bidding period for that lot is automatically extended by an additional [e.g., 1 minute]. This gives all bidders a fair opportunity to respond to last-minute bids.
  • Can I inspect the items before bidding? Yes. We offer scheduled viewing appointments for many of our auctions. The exact dates, times, and locations can be found in the respective auction description. We strongly recommend inspecting items before placing a bid.

Prices & Payment

  • What additional costs apply to the winning bid? The final invoice amount consists of your winning bid (hammer price), a buyer's premium of 18%, applicable VAT of 20% (where applicable), and any shipping costs.
  • Which payment methods are accepted, and when is payment due? Payment can be made in advance by bank transfer or in cash on-site when collecting the items. The invoice amount is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice. Items will only be released for collection or shipped once full payment has been received.

Shipping, Collection & Dismantling

  • How does parcel and freight shipping work? Items suitable for parcel delivery will be shipped to your registered address once full payment has been received. For bulky items or palletized goods, freight shipping is required. You can arrange freight shipping yourself at your own expense, or we can organize it upon request, with all associated costs covered by you.
  • Who is liable for damage or loss during shipping? Shipping is generally carried out at the buyer's risk. We accept no liability for damage or loss occurring during transportation. Any claims for damages must be made directly with the respective shipping or freight company.
  • What should I know about collecting items myself (dismantling & tools)? Items must be collected within the specified collection periods. Any permanently installed or assembled items must be professionally dismantled by the buyer. Please bring your own tools, lifting and transport equipment (e.g., hand trucks, ratchet straps), and sufficient personnel to carry and load the items. Our on-site team does not provide tools or assist with loading.

Legal Information & Warranty

  • Do I have a 14-day right of withdrawal (cancellation right)? No. In accordance with Section 18 (3) of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG), consumers do not have a statutory right of withdrawal for bids and purchases made at publicly accessible auctions.
  • Is there a guarantee or warranty on auctioned items? Most items originate from business liquidations or asset disposals and are sold in their existing condition ("as inspected" or "as described"). Any guarantee or statutory warranty for defects is excluded to the extent permitted by law. We therefore strongly recommend taking advantage of the available on-site viewing appointments before bidding.
